IPS, a Bulgarian manufacturer of complete energy storage systems (BESS), has announced a significant new investment near Plovdiv, southern Bulgaria, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Capital.bg. The company plans to open a new robotic production facility that will start operating in 2025 and will have an annual capacity of 1.5 GWh.
With more than 35 years of experience in the development and production of power technology and energy storage systems, IPS is an established partner for customers in 59 countries. The new production base is part of the company's strategy to respond to the growing demand for BESS systems in Europe and in particular in Bulgaria.
The production facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and will allow IPS to manufacture all key components of its systems, including battery modules, BMS, inverters, containers and management software (EMS) on site in Bulgaria. Localization of production ensures higher quality and quick maintenance of systems.
The new base will contribute significantly to the economy in the region by creating new jobs and providing high-quality energy storage systems. With its many years of experience, IPS guarantees comprehensive maintenance and trouble-free operation of its systems, as well as the availability of spare parts.
