German company MS XTEC has acquired a 51% stake in Serbian company IDAS, which specializes in the production of high-precision metal components, assemblies, and custom-made products, and is based in Mol, Ada Municipality. The deal adds a third production location to MS XTEC’s structure and expands its operations to include small-batch production and custom manufacturing, BalkanEngineer.com learned from an official announcement by the parent company, MS Industrie.

The acquisition agreement was signed on September 30, with the remaining 49% of IDAS remaining under the ownership of the current shareholder and entrepreneur Jovan Pejić. The value of the deal has not been disclosed. Starting in early October, the Serbian company will be included in the German industrial group’s consolidated financial statements.
IDAS has over 55 years of experience in metalworking and specializes in the production of metal components, assemblies, and products tailored to individual customer specifications. The company works on prototypes and one-off parts as well as small production runs, and its customers include companies in the pharmaceutical and packaging industries, as well as other industrial sectors. In 2025, IDAS generated revenue of approximately 8.5 million euros and employed about 190 people.
The acquisition expands both MS XTEC’s manufacturing capabilities and its customer base. The German company focuses primarily on highly automated series production of systems and components for heavy-duty internal combustion engines, hybrid, and electric powertrains. With the addition of IDAS, the group gains expertise in prototypes, small-batch production, and specialized products, which will enable it to cover a larger portion of the product lifecycle.
The deal also gives MS XTEC access to new industrial segments. In addition to the automotive industry, construction equipment, and stationary power generation applications—which are traditional markets for the German company—its customer base now includes the pharmaceutical, packaging, and mechanical engineering industries, where IDAS already has an established presence. Following the acquisition, the production facility in Mol becomes MS XTEC’s third location, alongside its plants in Trossingen, Germany, and Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S. MS Industrie reports approximately 145 million euros in revenue for 2025 and has about 400 employees; the integration of the Serbian company expands the group’s industrial presence in Southeast Europe as well.
