Gorni Milanovac, Serbia, invests in vocational education with a new training center for industrial business

The municipality of Gornji Milanovac in Serbia is beginning construction of a modern regional training center for dual education, BalkanEngineer.com learned from the Serbian news portal Naša Mesta. The project aims to address the growing shortage of skilled technical workers and to support the region’s highly developed metalworking, packaging, and food and beverage industries.

The new center will feature specialized engineering workshops, CNC laboratories, and high-tech automation equipment that meets modern industrial standards. There, students from vocational high schools will acquire practical skills in fields such as mechatronics, mechanical engineering, and industrial electronics in a real-world environment, working in collaboration with leading manufacturing companies in the region.

The implementation of the project is part of Serbia’s national program to integrate education with industry and stimulate direct investment in the manufacturing sector. By providing factories with trained, highly qualified specialists, the municipality aims to increase the production capacity and competitiveness of local businesses.
