The Chinese company Techron Group is preparing to open its first manufacturing facility outside of China, having selected the industrial zone in the city of Indija, Serbia, for this purpose. The plant, whose official opening is scheduled for November 18, 2026, will manufacture plastic components for electric vehicles intended for the European automotive industry. Construction of the facility is in its final stage, and Techron Automotive’s investment plan calls for the development of production in three consecutive phases. According to Indjia Mayor Marko Gašić, the new factory’s output will be exported to Germany and supplied to Volkswagen. During a meeting between company representatives and local authorities, discussions focused on the completion of construction work, the plant’s infrastructure needs, and opportunities for future expansion. The new plant will be highly automated and digitized, with management entrusted to local specialists.

According to initial plans, the factory will begin operations with approximately 65 employees, and once full projected capacity is reached, employment could grow to approximately 200 people. Production is organized to operate on a three-shift schedule, with automated operations combined with quality control, finishing, and packaging of finished products. The company anticipates significant involvement of highly qualified specialists in the management and development of production processes.

Techron Group was founded in 2005 in Beijing and is active in the design and manufacture of precision plastic and metal components, as well as tooling equipment for the automotive industry. Its product portfolio includes components for electric drive systems, electrical connectors, filters, housings, and interior parts. The group’s customers include Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Magna, and BorgWarner. With the opening of the facility in Indjia, the Chinese manufacturer will have its own production base in Europe, through which it will fulfill orders for automakers and suppliers on the continent.
