Building permits issued in Macedonia jump 57% y/y in May

The number of building permits issued in Macedonia in May rose by 57% on the year to 292, the country's statistics office announced earlier this month, cited by SeeNews.com.

The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in May jumped 13% year-on-year to 79.7 million euro, the data showed.

A total of 163 permits were issued for new buildings, 33 for civil engineering projects, and 96 for reconstruction projects in May.

In the review period, 750 dwellings are planned for construction, with total useful floor area of 63,183 sq m. Individuals accounted for 182 of the granted permits.
