The Turkish company Purplast is investing 15 million euros in new facilities at the Skopje Technology and Industrial Development Zone 2

Leading manufacturing company Purplast is launching a new large-scale investment project worth 15 million euros in the Skopje 2 Technology and Industrial Development Zone (TIRZ), BalkanEngineer.com learned from an official announcement by the Macedonian Information Agency (MIA). The expansion of the company’s operations will lead to the creation of up to 200 new jobs in the region. The details of the new investment were finalized during an official meeting between Goce Dimovski, Director of the TIRA Directorate, and Mehmet Şişmanoğlu, CEO of Purplast.

According to TIRZ management, the company’s decision to expand its existing facilities is the best indicator of the stability of the business environment and North Macedonia’s competitiveness as an attractive destination for foreign investment. For its part, Purplast’s management expressed high praise for its cooperation with local institutions, emphasizing that the project is a direct result of their positive operational experience in the zone to date. The new funds will be directed toward the construction of additional production facilities and the implementation of modern production lines. This will enable the company, which specializes in the manufacture of plastic components for the automotive industry and commercial vehicles, to increase its capacity and strengthen its position in international markets.

During the talks, the two parties also agreed on the specific next steps for the administrative and technical implementation of the project. And TIRZ committed to providing full logistical and infrastructure support so that the new production facilities can be put into operation within the planned timeframe, thereby stimulating the local economy and employment.
