The industrial zone in Shumen, Bulgaria, continues to establish itself as a magnet for foreign capital after Turkey’s Enpay officially announced its plans to expand operations and create 100 new jobs. The company manufactures components for transformers and high-voltage products, and this move is part of its long-term strategy to increase production capacity in Bulgaria and meet the growing demand for its products in European markets, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Economy.bg.

The investment involves the installation of new production lines and the modernization of the existing facilities, which will enhance production efficiency and competitiveness. The new positions are aimed at both qualified technical staff and engineers, as well as operational workers who will undergo specialized training. The expansion of the Turkish plant is a clear indicator of the favorable business climate in the region and investors’ confidence in the potential of Shumen’s workforce.
Local authorities and the management of Shumen Industrial Park emphasized that this is another step toward transforming the city into a major logistics and industrial hub in northeastern Bulgaria. The new jobs are expected to be filled shortly, and the increased production (by approximately 10,000 tons) will be primarily intended for export, which will contribute to the region’s positive trade balance.
