By combining turning, milling, and multi-axis operations, multitasking machines are transforming the way modern industry manufactures parts with complex geometries. As an official representative of the Japanese producer TAKISAWA, leading production company RAIS offers a portfolio consisting of the TMX4000ST multitasking turn-mill center – a high-tech solution combining turning, milling, 5-axis simultaneous machining, and integrated gear skiving technology into a single system. Capable of performing multiple different functions, wide array of opportunities for automation and high production, the model is designed for processing of complex details with maximum precision, speed and reliability.

The TMX4000ST has two built-in spindle motors—on the left and right side—as well as a tilting B-axis with a rotation range of -120° to +120°. A third spindle, having a power output of 22 kW and a maximum speed of 12,000 min⁻¹, is installed on the B-axis and performs milling and turning operations. The machine has an additional turret located below the left spindle, designed exclusively for turning.

One of the most remarkable technologies possibilities of the TMX series is the Gear Skiving function. The machine enables the milling of internal and external gears with straight and helical teeth, without the need for a specialized gear-cutting machine.

The TMX4000ST is equipped with an array of intelligent software features that improve processing safety and streamline everyday operations. The Collision Avoidance system uses a digital twin of the machine to monitor movement across all axes. The machine also features conversational programming, enabling the quick and easy creation of part programs. Additionally, the Tool File Management system tracks tool life and condition, ensuring efficient management, effective operation, and guaranteed reliability of the production process.
