Mobile Racking Systems make it possible to significantly increase storage capacity without expanding the existing warehouse area. Instead of maintaining permanent working aisles between every row of pallet racking, this technology provides access to the required area by moving the racking blocks. STAMH Group offers solutions of this type, in which mobile bases, electronic control and safety systems work together to maximize warehouse space utilization while maintaining direct access to every pallet position.

Traditional storage systems for pallets require permanent working aisles. With Mobile Racking, the racking blocks are installed on mobile bases that move along rails embedded in the floor. A working aisle opens only where and when it is needed, while the remaining racking blocks stay positioned close together. STAMH delivers projects in which its Mobile Racking System provides more pallet storage positions within the same floor area by making more efficient use of the available space. This is just one of many examples.

“Besides making more efficient use of the available space, the mobile configuration maintains direct access to every pallet position by opening the corresponding aisle. Its width is adapted to the material handling equipment in use, while the rails are precisely embedded in the floor so that they do not obstruct forklift maneuvering or warehouse personnel movement,” STAMH explained.

Among STAMH's specialized developments are dedicated software modules that automatically open additional ventilation aisles between racking blocks at night. The aim is to ensure more even air circulation throughout the warehouse when active warehouse operations have stopped or are limited.

“This functionality is particularly useful in cold storage chambers and frozen goods warehouses, where maintaining the required temperature conditions involves significant energy costs. The high-density arrangement of the racking allows optimal use of the available storage volume, while the controlled opening of aisles supports air circulation in line with the planned operating mode,” STAMH representatives stated.
