Megger's SVERKER 900 substation and relay testing system is a good helper for power engineers, meeting the growing need for three-phase testing in power distribution stations, renewable energy generation sites and industrial applications. It features a powerful combination of current and voltage sources with a wide range of measurement options.

"Testing relays with low power measuring transformer (LPIT) inputs poses a unique set of challenges. As LPIT transformers become more common in modern substations, a reliable method is needed to effectively test these systems. To do this, Megger has developed the LPIT101 adapter, which can now be plugged into our SVERKER 900 relay and substation testing system. It allows you to test relay protections with LPIT inputs directly, streamlining workflow and providing accurate results without complicated decisions," the company told BalkanEngineer.com.

The SVERKER900 system is specifically designed for basic, manual three-phase secondary testing of protective devices. In addition, various primary tests can be performed with it, as current and voltage sources can be connected in series and/or in parallel to provide outputs up to 105 A AC or 900 V AC.

"The three current sources and the four voltage sources of the equipment can be individually adjusted in terms of amplitude, phase angle and frequency. The fourth voltage source allows testing of digital relays that need a reference voltage simulating the bus. Working with the relay tester is also extremely easy, thanks to the intuitive user interface with an LCD touch screen," Megger Bulgaria added.

Megger has developed a special adapter for testing protective relays with sensors for low power current transformers LPCT Rogowski and low power voltage transformers LPVT.
