In every production process, cleanliness is a precursor to quality, and effective cleaning – for equipment that is reliable and with long use. In industries such as food, pharmaceuticals and chemical, where hygiene and the quality of processes are defining, cleaning reservoirs under high pressure is a daily requirement. The Italian company PNR Italia has developed a new series UBR nozzles, which are designed for effective cleaning of small containers with a high-pressure stream. "The new UBR nozzles provide complete and fast cleaning of internal volumes with minimal water and energy consumption. This innovative range combines compactness, high performance and 360° coverage, guaranteeing reliable results even in the most demanding conditions," the leading engineering company Indumatic told BalkanEngineer.com.

Technical characteristics and applications
The new series of UBR nozzles are designed to work under high pressure (from 10 bar to 150 bar) and are ideal for cleaning vessels and reservoirs that are small to medium sized, including IBC containers and equipment in the food and pharmaceutical industry. They ensure a complete 360° reach of inside surfaces, guaranteeing equal cleaning without having to rotate the container.
The frame and main components of the nozzles are made of AISI 316 stainless steel, resistant to corrosion and aggressive cleaning agents, and PTFE or Viton seals ensure reliable operation at liquid temperatures up to 90 °C. The nozzles have a 3/8″ BSP connection thread and have a compact design that facilitates installation even in limited spaces.
"The UBR nozzle series includes two versions - pneumatic and electric motor driven. The version with an electric motor has a protection class of IP65, and with a pneumatic motor - IP67. Each of these versions can have a different flow rate at different pressures," explained Indumatic.
