Belgrade-based Serbian technology company Prepia has secured 1.5 million euro in seed funding to accelerate the development of its AI-powered professional exam preparation platform. The investment was made by Inovo and Silicon Gardens, funds targeting high-potential startups in Central and Eastern Europe, BalkanEngineer.com learned from The Recursive.

Prepia is developing a mobile-oriented educational platform that transforms traditional learning materials into personalized learning experiences for exams such as the SAT, GMAT, medical, and legal qualifications. The solution targets a market with over 300 identified exam categories and is already used by over 100,000 users. In just nine months, the platform has achieved annual revenue (ARR) of 1.2 million euro.
The company was founded in 2024 by Viktor Pesic and Ivan Jurisic. Pesic has many years of experience in software development and marketing, and according to investors, he has managed to build a significant revenue base using only Google Ads. Jurisic, with experience at Roche, is responsible for the business development and strategic positioning of the new company.
"Our attention span is shrinking in the age of TikTok and Instagram, which poses challenges for traditional learning methods. Prepia offers a personalized, effective learning path that adapts to the needs of each user," said Viktor Pesic, co-founder of Prepia.
With 98% content accuracy, 92% user success rate, and a 4.8/5 rating from over 400 reviews, Prepia's platform is positioned as a potential market leader in the EdTech segment focused on professional qualification exams. Pesic's statement also makes it clear that the new funding will be used to expand the product and enter new markets in Europe and beyond.
