French glass manufacturer Saint-Gobain wants to invest in a new production line in Romania

French group Saint-Gobain is analyzing the possibility of commissioning in 2018 of new production line for special windshields for cars, announced for BalkanEngineer.com Norbert Teschner, General Manager of Saint-Gobain Glass Romania.

The investment would create about 130 jobs. The company will try to get a state aid for the future investment, informed the local news agency Wall-street.ro.

The project should be approved at a corporate level and the decision will be announced at the beginning of 2017.

Saint-Gobain enters the local market 10 years ago and to date has invested over € 180 million in local factories. Nearly 500 people are engaged in the manufacturing plants of Saint Gobain Romania, and over 60% of local production is exported.
