For more than 80 years, Ventura Pacific has been among the leading producers and distributors of lemons in California. The company produces around 5 million crates of lemons yearly and is an example of sustainable development and modernized agriculture. Old systems, working with pre-printed stickers, often led to missed labels, waste, conveyor jams and unplanned shutdowns."

After a multitude of attempts to optimize, it has become clear that the process requires a complete transformation. As a result, Ventura Pacific has integrated a complete technical system from Matthews, which is managed by the MPERIA® platform, coordinating all devices in real time. The new equipment includes:

Two automatic Print and Apply systems, Series A – for labeling 450-kilogram containers and smaller reusable plastic cassettes;
Four thermal inkjet printers, model L12 – for printing barcodes on cartons;
Six L1 printers – for PTI/GTIN marking on 20-kilogram cartons;
One T100 printer – for export packaging with foreign language markings;
MPERIA® controller – controls all printers and the integrated Keyence camera.
