At metalworking establishments, separating cutting fluid from metal shavings is an important part in organizing the production processes. Cleansing is of special importance, especially for metal cutting machines, grinding machines, honing centers, and hydraulic stations that do not allow for the handling of larger particles on the order of a few micrometers. "In such applications, the Sarigöl paper-filter separator comes to the rescue. With this unit, the contaminated fluid is first purified through filter paper before reaching the separator itself," explained Lazatec, an established trading company and partner of Sarigöl.

The cleaning process for cutting fluid is continuous. When the pores of the filter paper become clogged due to contaminated liquid, the level rises and the paper roll is moved by an automatic drive mechanism, replacing the filter paper at the point where the contaminated liquid passes through.
"After filtration, the purified metalworking fluid is collected in a reservoir, the capacity of which is selected based on the operating flow rate. From there, the filtered fluid is pumped back to the machine or the relevant supply zone in the workshop using a pressure pump. When processing workpieces that generate fine metal particles, the addition of a magnetic separator for pre-purification is recommended. Naturally, once the filter paper is fully used up, the consumable (the roll) must be replaced with a new one," explained Lazatec.
Cleaning cutting liquid is done in 4 stages:
- Inflow;
- Filtration;
- Automatic renewal;
- Movement.
"Purifying metalworking fluids is essential, particularly for machine tools, grinding centers, milling machines, and similar equipment. In industrial manufacturing, a key factor is the separation of fine metal and non-metal particles in the micrometer range," noted Lazatec.
