Recently the choice for lighting in warehouses or production facilities could be described as a bothersome ordeal – something powerful, something cheap, something to shine a light. The period of cheap energy and low standards for safety, however, is long gone. Today, organizations are looking at the ceiling thinking about efficiency, reliability, and control of expenditure. For these reasons, industrial LED high-bay lighting such as Philips Ledinaire High-Bay gain more trust. And Filkab, with their experience in engineering, electrical equipment and complete solutions, is becoming an important partner in the transformation of industrial sites towards smarter, reliable and economic lighting environments.

Industrial environments have clear requirements and Ledinaire High-Bay is designed for them. The selected model offers a flux of about 20,000 lm at a consumption of approximately 190 W, which gives an efficiency in the range of 100–105 lm/W. This is the typical output for a high-class LED lighting system from this segment and its appropriate for considerable heights, where loss of lumens on the way to the work area is inevitable.

The casing is with IP65 protection and allows for work in environments with dust, humidity and temperature imbalances. The IK06 impact resistance level is not the highest in the industry, but it is more than sufficient for warehouses and production areas, where the most common risks are vibrations and accidental impacts during forklift maneuvers. The L65 life of 50,000 hours shows a predictable degradation pattern, making it easier to predict replacement and maintenance.

PF ≥ 0.95 should also be noted. In installation with dozens or hundreds of bodies it is very important - it reduces losses and makes the load on the phases more orderly. "In industrial projects, we evaluate electrical discipline first, then light. A fixture like the Philips Ledinaire High-Bay saves years of trouble," Filkab commented.
