North Macedonia's commercial sector grows with new projects in Struga and Ohrid

North Macedonia continues to strengthen its commercial infrastructure with an ambitious new project in the southwestern city of Struga, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from SeeNews.com. Nabizi, a company known for managing shopping centers in the country, has begun construction of the largest retail facility in the region.
The Nabizi retail park will stretch an impressive 50,000 m2 and will offer much more than retail space. The project includes a variety of amenities such as a petrol station, fast food restaurants, café, hotel and playground. In addition, the park will have 800 parking spaces and 20,000 m2 of office space, making it the heart of Struga's trade and business.
Nabizi already operates a shopping centre in this city and the new project is part of the company's strategic expansion in the region. The new facility is expected to attract a large amount of visitors and create new opportunities for jobs and economic growth.
Along with the development of Struga, North Macedonia is preparing to welcome another important commercial project. Commercial real estate consultancy FortonMka will open a new shopping centre in Ohrid, which will open on 28 May 2025.
The mall will cover an area of approximately 17,000 m2 and will offer a variety of shops and services to its visitors. FortonMka's project is part of a broader strategy to develop retail and business spaces in strategic tourist and economic regions of Northern Macedonia.
The company operates as an independent affiliate of global commercial real estate leader Cushman & Wakefield and the new shopping centre is expected to become a major commercial hub for residents and tourists in Ohrid, as well as a regional economic driver.
