China's Huashuo to Build a High-Tech Energy Systems Manufacturing Plant in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Qingdao Huashuo Gaoke New Energy Technology (Huashuo), a leading Chinese manufacturer of smart energy solutions, has officially announced its plans to build a high-tech manufacturing plant near Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The project will be implemented in the Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ) and represents the company’s first production facility within the European Union, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Economy.bg.

The investment will be carried out through the establishment of a joint venture between TIZ and Huashuo. The main focus of the new facility will be the production of smart charging stations for electric vehicles, renewable energy storage systems, and smart grid solutions. The project is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand into markets in Germany and Central Europe, with Bulgaria selected for its strategic location and developed industrial ecosystem.

Huashuo is a member of the China E-Commerce Chamber of Commerce (CECC), which brings together over 8,000 companies in the sector. During their visit to Plovdiv, Huashuo Chairwoman Ms. Guo Licheng and CECC President Mr. Wang Ning emphasized that the cooperation with the Trakia Economic Zone will serve as a model for future Chinese investments in Bulgaria. The new plant is expected to create highly skilled jobs and reinforce Plovdiv’s position as a leading center for high-tech manufacturing in the Balkans.
