International Conference on water management EWaS was held in Greece
2nd Edition of International Conference on Water Management EWaS was organized bythe University of Tessaly and the Technical University of Crete, learned BalkanEngineer.com. The event was held under the motto “Efficient & Sustainable Water Systems toward Worth Living Development”. The location of it was the town of Chania on the greek island of Crete.
The focus of EwaS 2016 was put on the integrated and sustainable management of water resources, the effects of global climate changes, improvement of the efficiency of water systems and environmental protection.
Because of this, special attention was paid to the latest developments, strategies and techniques and application of international best practices in the effective and sustainable management of water systems and many others. Among the main topics discussed was also environmental protection and the ways in which hydraulics contribute to sustainable engineering research and design in water environment.
