Unisyst Engineering’s CF500 is an electronic gas volume corrector designed to accurately calculate the volume of natural gas under base conditions. The device determines the corrected volume based on the measured gas volume, temperature, pressure, and compressibility. Depending on its configuration, the CF500 can operate as a T, PT, or PTZ gas volume corrector, allowing it to be adapted to different metering systems and specific technical requirements. “As a modern gas volume correction device, the CF500 combines measurement, calculation, data archiving, and local and remote communication capabilities. It is suitable for applications where reliable recording of natural gas volumes is essential for technical monitoring, reporting, and commercial transactions,” representatives of Unisyst Engineering, a leading manufacturing, engineering, and trading company, told BalkanEngineer.com.

The CF500 is a new-generation electronic gas volume corrector designed for high-performance applications and equipped with advanced electronic components. It is a Type 1 device in accordance with EN 12405-1, designed to convert the measured gas volume to specified base conditions. Its flash memory enables firmware updates using a laptop without requiring any modifications to the electronic circuit board, simplifying device maintenance and upgrades.
“Depending on the configuration, the CF500 gas volume corrector can be equipped with GSM communication or an RS485 interface using the Modbus RTU protocol. A version without communication ports is also available, allowing customers to select the configuration that best suits the requirements of their specific gas metering system,” Unisyst Engineering explained.
The device is powered by an internal 3.6 V DC battery with a capacity of 17 Ah. In the GSM version, an additional internal 4.5 V DC battery is used. For the RS485 configuration, an external power supply and barrier module, CF500-POW, provides a 5 V DC supply and protects communication lines A and B. The available equipment options depend on the selected device configuration.
