Saer Elettropompe SKD pumps are used in various applications – from firefighting to water purification

“Separate housing pumps from the SKD range by Saer Elettropompe are made in such a way that they comply with the needs of multiple applications in different sectors – from water supply and irrigation systems, to installations for removing oil from water, cleaning, HVAC, fire protection, the marine and offshore sector,” Eng. The proof of this is the success of SKD pumps in multiple different projects. As an example, in Spain, one has been installed in a fire-fighting pumping system at a port, and in Indonesia – in a drinking water treatment plant.

SDK pumps are available in different configurations, depending on the characteristics of the fluids and conditions, including vertical installation. They are capable of being connected to diesel generators, allowing them to be used for mobile systems. They are even offered ACS certificated for drinking water.  "The range provides numerous options for individual implementation according to the needs of the specific project. For example, each model can be implemented to work with fluids up to 140 °C, as well as with special paints and coatings. The option of standard ANSI openings is also offered upon request. The pump itself can be used in a PAT version, or the so-called pump as a turbine - one of the special solutions of Saer Elettropompe", Eng. Georgiev explained to BalkanEngineer.com.

Regarding material, the series consists of: super duplex, cast iron, malleable iron, stainless steel, bronze. Different options allow for different applications. In Spain, for example, the SKD 125-335 A is installed in a mobile fire-fighting system, ensuring the safety of a port. The pump operates at a duty point: Q= 400 m³/h; H= 120 m with a frequency of 2000 to 2900 min-1. In a project in Indonesia, the SKDW 4P 150-400 AB model in a version without a motor and with a bronze impeller is used in a sewage treatment plant. The duty point in this case is Q= 100 l/s; H=50 m, with the pump installed vertically.
