Over the calm coastal waters of the Norwegian city Trondheim, a new residential area is being formed that combines natural resources, comfortable infrastructure and an ambitious vision for sustainable development. To achieve a high level of energy efficiency and comfort for future residents, the project includes one of the most modern solutions for controlling systems for heating and cooling – MIXIT by Grundfos. "Compact and intelligent, the device becomes a key element of installations, ensuring stable operation, optimal heat distribution and significantly facilitating installation and maintenance," the company told BalkanEngineer.com.

At the Trondheim housing complex, MIXIT is chosen because of its ability to combine in a single device, the various functions that typically involve multiple different devices. This allows for the system to be integrated much more quickly, with much less interference and without difficult integrations. The device is built in advance and works under a Plug-and-Play principle, which means that after mounting it the base configuration is ready for work. This compact design is ideal for projects involving multiple buildings, where available space and time are critical factors.
"MIXIT adapts to the needs of each building by adjusting the temperature and flow rate according to the current load. This results in uniform heating, lower energy costs and the possibility of using pipes with smaller diameters. Thanks to this approach, the system becomes more sustainable, more efficient and easier to maintain in the long term," the company explained.
At the housing complex, several MIXIT modules are already installed, and more are planned for the near future - proof that the device is perceived as a reliable and modern alternative to traditional mixing circuits that require more components, more time and more complex setup.
