ABB’s SACE Emax 3 air circuit breaker won an award for technical innovation in Milan

The air circuit breaker SACE Emax 3 by ABB, due to its technical innovation, was awarded in the category “Building Electrification and Automation”. The award was handed during the ceremony at the Palazzo della Cultura in Milan as part of the initiative by ImpiantiNews and the Tecniche Nuove group, BalkanEngineer.com was informed by ABB Bulgaria.

SACE Emax 3 by ABB is an intelligent air circuit for low voltage, meant for protection, control and monitoring of electrical installations. The solution combines functions for monitoring, high cybersecurity and intelligent control of electrical loads, by supporting more efficient, reliable, and safe energy management.

Introduced to the market in 2025, SACE Emax 3 is constructed with the possibility to be integrated into different systems and equipment and allows for configuration based on the changing requirements. The wide range of sensing functions and energy and resource management tools are aimed at maintaining the continuity of critical operations.

Among the circuit breaker's key features is its high level of cybersecurity, which helps protect data, people, and assets. This distinction recognizes ABB’s technological solutions aimed at smarter, safer, and more sustainable electrification.

Impianti News and the publishing group Tecniche Nuove organize and hand the annual ImpiantiNews Awards, whose first edition took place on July 14, 2026, in Milan. The event encompasses leading companies and innovative products in professional engineering, HVAC sectors, energy efficiency and automation.
