Melexis Bulgaria, part of the international leader in microelectronics Melexis, has opened a new high-tech laboratory at its base in Sofia, BalkanEngineer.eu has learned from dir.bg. With an investment of more than 1.2 million euros, the facility provides state-of-the-art facilities for product testing and validation, significantly accelerating the development of innovations in sensor technologies.
Georgi Kostadinov, Managing Director of Melexis Bulgaria, stressed that opening the new laboratory in Sofia is of utmost importance for the company's development. He described this project as a strategic step that creates conditions for working with the most advanced technologies. This, he said, would allow engineers to work quickly and efficiently on developing innovative products. Kostadinov also pointed out that the investment reflects the company's long-term commitment to technological advancement and sustainable global development.
The lab is triple the size of the previous one and includes forty lab seats, three dedicated hardware areas and four meeting rooms. Among its main advantages is the ability to accelerate product validation processes and create production test solutions. The technological equipment in the laboratory encompasses a variety of advanced instruments that allow standard and automated tests to be performed under controlled conditions.
For his part, Nicolas Simon, vice president of the Global Technology Office at Melexis, pointed out that the new lab significantly expands the capabilities of the engineering teams. He explained that it will enable more sophisticated testing and validation of products that are becoming increasingly complex. According to Simon, the improvements ensure the high quality and reliability of the solutions that Melexis offers to its customers worldwide.
The investment underlines Melexis' long-term commitment to technology development and the expansion of engineering potential in Bulgaria. The new facility not only expands development and validation capacity, but also establishes Sofia as an important hub for innovation and advanced engineering solutions.
