Filtermist, a world renowned manufacturer in the field of oil mist and aerosol extraction and filtration, presented its new product F Save to the market – an intelligent device designed to reduce the consumption of energy from Filtermist collectors up to 80%. "The development of such a solution comes at a time when more and more manufacturing companies are looking for ways to reduce their costs and their carbon footprint," BalkanEngineer.com was informed by Lazatek, who offers Filtermist products.

F Save includes a sensor that mounts to the coolant pump to register when the machine is running. If the pump is inactive, the Filtermist device will automatically turn off the collector. Since oil residue is only generated when coolant is used, this reduces energy consumption while providing complete protection to machine operators from exposure to airborne oil mist aerosols.
“Judging by a report conducted by Filtermist experts, on average, a metal cutter processes parts only about 50% of the time in working mode, and the rest of the time is spent changing tools, preparing, taking breaks, etc. During this period the energy consumed for the extraction of oil mist is completely unnecessary. With F Save, up to 80% reduction in energy consumption of the oil mist capture system is predicted. This does not only mean a more economized usage of resources, but also a lower carbon footprint – one of the challenges the industrial sectors face on a global scale," explained Lazatek.
Benefits of using F Save:
- Reduction of electricity costs;
- Lower operating costs and potential for a quick return on investment.
- Improved safety and quality of the working environment.
- Easy installation and integration.
