The new substation is designed to meet growing demand in one of the capital’s fastest-growing areas. It is equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring and control systems that enable greater efficiency and a faster response to potential outages. The investment is part of EVN’s large-scale investment cycle aimed at digitizing the grid and preparing it for the integration of new renewable energy sources.

During the ceremony, EVN management emphasized that over the past two decades, the company has invested hundreds of millions of euros in improving infrastructure and service quality in North Macedonia.

The new facility in Aerodrom is expected to improve the security of energy supplies for thousands of households and businesses and create capacity for future urban and industrial development in the region.
