Open House commenced at the end of march this year – a joint event by RAIS and ARK Metrology, meant for the most current solutions for production and measuring of rotationally symmetric details. The presentation took place at the production base of RAIS in Bulgaria, where dozens of guests, branch specialists and representatives of the industry had the opportunity to see live presentations of the Swiss Type lathes Citizen & Miyano and two-spindle machines TAKISAWA from the portfolio of the leading manufacturer. Also of note were the innovative measuring systems Sylvac Scan for 100% fast inspection of lathe parts, the manual precision Trimos systems for linear measurements in small series, as well as the mobile Absolute Arm solution for 3D measurement and scanning directly on the part, including the machine spindle.

"RAIS is not just an established manufacturer of CNC machines, but also the official representative of the Japanese giants Citizen & Miyano and TAKISAWA for more than 15 years. We chose to present their equipment precisely because of its remarkable quality and durability, which practically eliminates the need for maintenance," said Eng. Artin Bazdigyan, presenting the Swiss Type Citizen & Miyano lathes and the TAKISAWA two-spindle machines.

"RAIS’s main advantage is that we offer a complete production solution - from the idea concept and development of tech for the production of the specific product, through the selection of appropriate tools, to the design and manufacture of the necessary fixtures. Doing this, the client receives a machine that allows them to start the production process immediately. Over 80% of the machines we deliver are issued together with the first finished units of the client's parts, manufactured on the relevant equipment," emphasized Eng. Bazdigyan.

During the demonstrations at the RAIS facility, the specialist also presented the operation of a TAKISAWA TM3000Y2 machine model configured for a client, along with the attachments developed for it.
