The ID Bodrum project, which includes 32 coastal villas and 13 estates in Küçükbük, Turkey, combines the most modern automation technology with exceptional comfort, demonstrating how luxury and sustainable development can coexist. The new concept for an energy-efficient holiday village utilizes ABB’s smart building solutions to provide a modern, while at the same time, eco-friendly lifestyle for guests on the picturesque Bodrum Peninsula.

To realize this ambitious vision, Bodrum based company Interline Technology chose the systems for building automation offered by ABB, part of the ecological project “smart villas”. Situated along a one-kilometer stretch of protected coastline, featuring a private 250-meter beach and individual cabanas, the ID Bodrum holiday homes combine luxury, privacy, and a sustainable lifestyle.

A key role for accomplishing the goals of the project in regard to energy efficiency, there’s the building management system (BMS). Functioning as the “brain” for every villa, it automates heating control, ventilation and climatization, lighting and other building functions, while at the same time reducing energy consumption up to 40%. In line with this, the system ensures precise control over temperature and the quality of air in the building, as well as providing real time information for preventative maintenance. Through the integrated management of electrical and mechanical systems across the entire complex, the BMS optimizes building operations and contributes to achieving the project's ambitious environmental goals.

To improve operational efficiency, the ID Bodrum team integrated the solutions ABB i-bus® KNX and Cylon® for automation of HVAC systems. They ensure continuous monitoring of energy consumption and contribute to reducing utility costs. The technologies by ABB offer complete solutions for control of heating, ventilation and climatization, lighting, energy consumption and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
