One of Albania’s leading construction and investment companies, Gener 2, has announced a massive investment plan worth 280 million euros for the development of a new coastal tourism project. The initiative aims to establish the country as a leading destination for luxury and eco-tourism in the Mediterranean, BalkanEngineer.com learned from the specialized business publication SeeNews.

The project envisages the construction of a multifunctional complex that will include five-star hotel units, private villas, recreational areas, and modern infrastructure for yacht tourism, and will be implemented at a strategic location along the Albanian coast. It is expected to generate hundreds of new jobs and attract high-end international tourists.
The investment is part of Gener 2’s strategy to diversify its portfolio and expand the company’s presence in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
The concept places particular emphasis on environmental sustainability and the implementation of "smart" technologies for resource management. The project is in line with Albania’s government policy to promote foreign and domestic investment in strategic sectors, and the new complex is expected to be fully completed and operational by 2030, becoming a symbol of the modern Albanian Riviera.
