Over the past few months, Serbia has been running a major campaign with the European Investment Bank to connect all schools in the country with high-speed internet. During the panel "What is the future of digitisation?" held in London, Prime Minister Ana Bernabic pointed out that so far 1,800 schools are connected, where children can learn in an innovative way. This is what BalkanEngineer.com learned from Ekipaja.com. There, she also met with representatives of alternative investment funds that invest in start-ups across Europe.
The Prime Minister specified that IT sector exports are expected to reach 4 billion euros by the end of 2023. At the meeting, Bernabic expressed her satisfaction that she was able to hear that the fund representatives are familiar with the rapid growth of the startup ecosystem in Serbia, and that some have already visited the country.
She also mentioned that special art subjects are being introduced in high schools, because with IT you also need to be creative, and art subjects contribute to this. Bernabić announced that Serbia will continue to strengthen innovative entrepreneurship and encourage successful young people.
