Serbia's Ministry of Information and Telecommunications has announced that in the first nine months of 2024, exports of products and services in the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector reached 2.9 billion euros, an increase of 19 per cent compared to the same period of the record year 2023 when exports were 2.5 billion euros, BalkanEngineer.eu has learned from serbianmonitor.com.
In September 2024, exports of ICT services amounted to 338 million euros, marking a 20% increase compared to the same month of the previous year. The trade surplus in ICT services for the first nine months of 2024 stands at an impressive 2.3 billion euros.
The Ministry stresses that the ICT sector remains the fastest-growing industry in Serbia, contributing significantly to improving the living standards of citizens, the overall development of the country and sustainable GDP growth.
