The Bulgarian company Healthy Bars plans to build a new factory in Sofia. The brand-new facility will create 45 jobs and introduce new products to the company’s range, according to BalkanEngineer.com, citing Economic.bg. Currently, the company operates a production facility in another location in Bulgaria with two production lines and 105 employees. Healthy Bars sells its products in 46 countries, with its main markets being Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, and Scandinavia.
The planned capacity of the new factory is half a billion bars annually, with an investment of 30 million BGN. The company is also considering expanding into the U.S. and Asian markets. Healthy Bars produces private-label products, with proprietary recipes and technologies, and the products are sold under various brands.
The company was founded in 2015. Initially, they started with the production of muesli bars, which are available in almost all retail chains in Bulgaria. After participating in various exhibitions in Europe, they discovered opportunities for growth in the niche of raw bars, leading to significant success.
Today, Healthy Bars places great importance on sustainable development, including the use of solar panels and systems for calculating carbon footprints.
