Mentessa is an AI platform for skills upgrading that enables knowledge sharing, learning and collaboration in hybrid organisations. The Munich-based startup was founded in 2019 by Andrey Andreev and Tina Rousseva, both with backgrounds in tech entrepreneurship. Today, Mentessa is used by more than 5,000 people in different organizations to find a mentor, advance their career or share their experiences. At its inception, Mentessa was backed by the Bulgarian venture capital fund Eleven Ventures.
The partnership with EIT Digital is a strategic move for Mentessa. The startup's goal is to continue working to create knowledge sharing solutions. The grant will provide Mentessa with financial support and resources to accelerate the development of its technology in collaboration with Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark, with both organisations focusing on using AI to improve skills and upskill the workforce across Europe.
