Prof. Dr. Miglena Temelkova, Rector of the Higher School of Telecommunications and Post in Bulgaria, and Mr. Ardian Durmisi, Chairman of the Administrative Council of the University "Alexander Juvani" in Albania, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for active development in the field of education and research. The document affirms the commitment of the two educational institutions to unite their efforts in all common disciplines in which they train their students. The vision to optimize the processes of the two universities and address common challenges emphasizes sharing of expertise and support.
Prof. Temelkova commented on the need to streamline educational processes and attract staff according to the needs of the labour market. Mr. Durmisi highlighted the increase in the number of students in medical specialties and the challenges this trend poses.
Under the measures envisaged in the memorandum, exchange of students, faculty, academic members and researchers, as well as sharing of training materials and scientific publications will be actively encouraged. Seminars, conferences and other scientific events will also be organised, contributing to closer cooperation and exchange of knowledge between the two universities.
