The Albanian government has given the green light to local renewable energy producer Sunny Side Energy to build a 100 MW photovoltaic park near the southwestern city of Fier, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from SeeNews.com.
The facility is expected to be operational within 36 months and will have a service life of 49 years, the government said on Wednesday.
The project is entirely privately financed, with no government incentives and no concession contracts.
According to the Albanian commercial register, Sunny Side Energy was established in 2023 by local construction and oil conglomerate Kastrati Group.
