Strickland Metals Ltd has discovered new gold and base metal deposits at its Rogozna project in Serbia, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from proactiveinvestors.com.au. Drilling in the Kotlovi area, 350 m west of the Medenovac deposit, revealed significant mineralisation including 40.3 m at 2.6 g/t gold and an interval of 17 m at 3.5 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq). Additional metals such as copper, silver, lead and zinc have also been reported making the find economically attractive.
This deposit has similar geological characteristics to Medenovac, suggesting a possible link between the two deposits and strengthening the resource potential of the project. Strickland managing director L’Herpiniere highlighted that this is the third discovery at Rogozna in the last four years and a testament to the potential of the project and the team's efforts.
Strickland is planning additional drilling at Kotlowi and nearby deposits to explore the extent of the deposit and the potential expansion of mineralization. The company has the financial stability to continue the campaign with a budget of 41.1 million Australian dollars.
