A new investment of BGN 110 million will be made in the Rubin glass plant in Pleven, Bulgaria, BalkanEnigeer.co has learned from Enterprise.bg. The project involves the construction of a new 300-tonne bath furnace and is expected to create 150 new jobs.
The company expressed its intention for this investment at the beginning of the year and submitted an application to the local administration.
The total value of the company's investments after the implementation of the new project will reach around BGN 250 million. The project for the construction of the new bath furnace includes innovations in control using real data from a smart control centre. The main objective of the furnace upgrade is to reduce emissions and other improvements.
The company also plans to invest in the development of future staff by establishing a training academy directly linked to the plant and production.
