The Municipality of Sozopol, Bulgaria, has announced the launch of a major investment project in the village of Zidarovo that includes a pharmaceutical factory, an economic complex and a tourist site, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Economy.bg. The value of the investment is estimated at BGN 40 million and is considered an excellent opportunity for the development of the region.
The project, named Vedra Land, is the result of cooperation between the pharmaceutical company Vedra International and the manufacturer Terra Pharmaceutical. It aims to combine the traditions of the Strandzha Mountains with modern technology in order to promote a healthy lifestyle supported by natural healing properties.
The pharmaceutical factory of Tera Pharmaceutical, which will be part of Vedra Land, will produce products based on the region's natural riches as well as national and European natural resources. The construction of the factory has already been approved and will be the first stage of the development.
In addition to the pharmaceutical factory, Vedra Land is planned to include a complex where more than 60 species of herbs, medicinal plants, fruit trees and dairy animals will be cultivated. There are also plans to build a large event centre to host scientific events with the medical and pharmaceutical community, as well as a mini golf course that will attract tourists from Bulgaria and other countries.
Over 200 people with different skills and competencies are to be employed in the implementation of the project.
