Granit made a profit of 2.3 million euros thanks to a successful investment in Komercijalna Banka shares, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from faktor.mk. The North Macedonian construction company, which is going through a challenging period due to a downturn in the construction industry, increased its profit by 29% compared to last year, with a significant part of this result due to a dividend of 1.8 million euros and an increased market value of their investment in the bank.

Despite the difficulties in the domestic construction market, Granite reduced its operating costs by 33% and managed an operating profit of 640 000 euros. In this period, the company focused only on the domestic market, with sales revenue of 42.4 million euros, down 23% from last year.

It remains to be seen how new construction projects, such as the construction of the Gostivar-Kichevo highway, may affect Granit's operations, especially against the backdrop of rising costs for raw materials and supplies.
