The first Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce was founded in Sofia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA). The official event on this occasion took place at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bulgaria and was supported by the Minister of European Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Dvorak and Czech Ambassador Miroslav Toman. Maxim Behar was elected Chairman of the Chamber and Georgi Petkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BTL Industries for Bulgaria, was elected Vice-Chairman.
The new chamber of commerce aims to strengthen economic ties between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic by providing a favourable environment for investment and business development. "We will work actively to strengthen economic relations and to open new opportunities for business in both countries," Maxim Behar said at the establishment of the organisation.
Ambassador Toman defined the establishment of the Chamber as a significant event for the Bulgarian-Czech relations and expressed his gratitude to all participants and the main initiator Maxim Behar. The Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce will bring together companies from both countries and serve as a bridge for cooperation and the development of business opportunities between them.
