For Alfa Laval team in Bucharest, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer, who is self-driven, hardworking and enthusiastic to learn and develop, reliable and goal-oriented, persistent and patient. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing services and providing technical support to customer, covering mainly centrifugal separators, centrifugal decanters and heat exchangers;
- Main services: preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical tasks, commissioning, installing, testing, repairing and maintaining as well as condition monitoring at customer site;
- Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical problems with application and deep product knowledge on customers site;
- Doing service jobs for marine customers (centrifugal separators, heat exchangers, ballast water systems…);
- Train customer on the features of products they have purchased;
- Preparation of the service job to execute / resolve at the shortest possible time;
- Follow up on actions and promises made to customers;
- Write advanced (external/internal) service report on site and get it signed by the customer;
- Report unsafe practices, incidents and work for continuous improvement;
- Capture Installed Base on site and communicate sales opportunities to sales organization;
- Proactive service advice to customers relating to the 360 service portfolio;
- Communicate product related change notifications (Service Bulletins);
- Train Field Service engineers in own organization if appointed as trainer or mentor for ALSOC;
- Supervise and oversee service jobs within your scope of expertise;
- Doing service jobs for marine customers.
What we require:
- Engineering Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineering);
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience on a similar position;
- Fluent in English; Romanian is your native language;
- Valid and clean B driving license.
