Bulgarian hi-tech firm Elfi Tech, in partnership with Romanian engineering firm Petal and US company E-Ficient Solutions LLC, has unveiled an innovative technology to solve the growing problem of hazardous medical waste in the United States. BalkanEngineer.com learned this information from Divident.eu. The innovation promises to revolutionize the way this waste is managed and treated, while improving the environmental situation.
The facilities, known as "Electropyrolysis Plants for Waste Hydrocarbon Utilization", feature innovative technology protected by four patents from Elfi Tech. They not only destroy medical waste, but also produce a clean gas as an end product that can be used as fuel. This process ensures efficient and safe waste management while reducing its negative impact on the environment.
The pilot plant developed by the three companies is nearly ready for operation and will soon be deployed at a large medical waste disposal site in the state of Nevada. It will have a disposal capacity of 1 t/h and its successful launch is expected to lead to orders for three more similar plants.
The development by Bulgarian company Elfi Tech offers a solution to the medical waste problem and opens up opportunities for sustainable management of other types of waste such as old car tyres and biomass. The partnership between E-Ficient Solutions LLC, Petal and Elfi Tech aims to expand the application of this innovative technology to a wide range of industries and regions.
