North Macedonia's Fund for Innovation and Technological Development (FITR) will provide €5 million in grants to local micro, small and medium enterprises to support their technological development and growth. BalkanEngineer.com has learned this from SeeNews.com.

The initiative aims to help businesses overcome economic challenges and stimulate growth by adopting innovative, green and digital technologies, boosting global competitiveness and resilience in crises.

Microenterprises will be funded with up to 2.5 million denars, small businesses will be eligible to apply for grants of up to 5 million denars, while mid-sized companies will be able to receive support of up to 10 million denars.

Companies can apply for funding until February 29, 2024.

The Government of North Macedonia established FITR in 2013 to promote innovation by providing additional sources of funding to local companies.
