German industrial lighting manufacturer Siteco has opened an engineering centre in Belgrade, Serbia

German company Siteco, a world leader in outdoor lighting, has opened its design and engineering centre in Belgrade, Serbia, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Ekarija.com. The size of the investment was not reported.

"Siteco's arrival is not only proof of the continued interest of global companies in investing in Serbia, but also confirmation that the country is becoming a new European technology hub," said Marko Kades, head of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, in a press release after a meeting with Ivan Lazarevic, Siteco's general manager for Serbia.

Established in 1997, Siteco, based in Traunroit, is a leading provider of technical lighting solutions for streets, tunnels, sports areas, industrial areas, offices and shops. The company has around 800 employees according to its LinkedIn profile.
