Krasen Kurkchiev, owner of Bulgarian food and household chemicals company Fikosata, has announced a large-scale investment worth 30 million euros, thanks to which a new factory of the company will be built in the town of Shumen. Shumen, Bulgaria, BalkanEngieer.com was informed by Capital.bg.
The new facility will specialize in the production of Bruschetta Maretti and is expected to start operations in 2025. This will be another added facility to Ficosota Food's portfolio, with the investment coming after the company built a dedicated waffle production plant under the "My Motto" brand two years ago.
Judging by the sales of bruschetta, it is concluded that this product is popular and successful on the international market. According to information from the company, this year sales of bruschetta will reach BGN 100 million, and after the launch of the new plant, the expected annual turnover of bruschetta will be as much as BGN 400 million.
