Electricom will invest 5.7 million euros in an energy storage system in Kasimca, Romania

Romanian electricity producer Electricom will invest 28.4 million lei (5.7 million euros) in a battery energy storage system (BESS) in Casimca, Tulcea County, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from SeeNews.com.

 

 

The project, approved on May 20, includes the construction of the BESS, access roads, fencing of the site and connection to the national grid.

 

Electricom sought 6.9 million lei of state aid under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. In addition, the company plans to build a photovoltaic (PV) plant with a capacity of 4.55 MW in Kasimcha, worth 14 million lei.

 

Controlled by Sorin Bonchiu, Electricom reported a profit of 8.2 million lei on a turnover of 51.6 million lei in 2023.
