Albania's government has approved the construction of three wind farms with an installed capacity of 3 MW per plant, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Acp.al. According to the decisions, the projects are planned to be built in Tragjas in Vlora, and the expected commissioning time is within 36 months.
The plants, which will produce energy from wind, are expected to have a life of 49 years from the entry into force of the decision, and will not be subject to concession.
The companies investing in these wind farms will have to give the Ministry responsible for energy 2% of the annual amount of electricity produced or its conversion into monetary value free of charge, in the form of rent.
Together with a similar project from 1 month ago, the wind farms approved by the government this year reach 4. The energy produced by wind is not yet used in Albania, although there is no lack of interest from investors, given that only in recent years a significant number of applications have been submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
