A group of 23 students from Polis University (Albania) visited the Vlora Marina tourism project in the coastal city of Vlora, Albania, as part of the initiative of the B4Students program, which provides real work experience to young aspiring engineers, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Balfin.al . The visit was a combination of observing site operations and interacting with industry professionals.

Accompanied by the three speakers, the group of students were welcomed to the Vlora Marina showroom by project manager Ervin Bachaj, who gave them a short presentation on the development and community significance of the site, designed as an elite marine tourism destination in Albania.

Vlora Marina replaces the city's old and depreciated industrial port, turning it into a modern port with a capacity of up to 438 yachts and mega-yachts, thereby creating a powerful revenue-generating engine for the economy. The entire investment, including public infrastructure in the area, parks and promenade, as well as the residential complex, will reach a value of around 350 million euros.

During their exploratory tour, the students were met by a team of engineers who explained the various stages of the construction process. Future engineers were particularly interested in the sustainability aspects of construction.

Project manager Ervin Bachaj stated that Vlora Marina is committed to collaborating with academic institutions to improve the learning experience, help students' professional development and their integration into the project implementation.
