Optical equipment manufacturer Optix has announced a BGN 20 million investment for a new facility in Panagyupishte, Bulgaria, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Money.bg. It will help optimize logistics costs, improve organization and production and increase the company's efficiency by at least 20%.
The entire production of Optix will be relocated to a common building with an area of 7 000 m2, which is under renovation. "Our new investment area is closely linked to Optix's long-term strategy for sustainable development, and the company's goals are to bring all optical production from the different technology areas into one place and double it over the next 5 years," the company said. The company prides itself on the low cost of production, with only 3% of costs going to electricity.
In recent years, the pany has increased its turnover by nearly 13%. Only last year, the company, which specialises in the production of optical products for military and military use, opened a production and development centre in Plovdiv, after an investment of BGN 10 million. Then the company announced the creation of 100 new jobs, including engineers in development.
