Albanian electricity operator OSSH has awarded a 93 million lek (€895,000) contract to local company GPG to build new electrical cabinets and power lines in a village near the capital Tirana, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from SeeNews.com.
The GPG company was selected after a bidding process mainly because of the price it offered, as its bid was lower than the estimated budget of 96 million lek for the project.
GPG will be required to construct 12 new electrical cabinets and their ancillary medium-voltage transmission lines, as well as low-voltage transmission lines for 18 existing electrical cabinets within seven months.
Lushnia-based GPG focuses on the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of roads, railways, airports, water mains, sewers, power lines and road signs.
